Look binders

okay soo two days before christmas my parents bought me a set of line invaders from last year with look px 12 jibs which i believe where also from last year. i have been riding 3-4 times a week since and have already broken two brakes. i took the first one back and they said it would be 30 to replace a new brake on but theu had an old one and would do it for 5 so i did that. last night a i broke the second it wasnt even on a jump or anything i came off a rail and my ski popped off and the brake broke. i was just wondering is the shop wrong to not cover that under warranty and i really lost any faith in look because these are the only binders i have ever purchased i was just wondering what the ns population thought of this storyy.

Common problem with Look Px bindings.  The brakes are just really shitty for no reason...  I've broken my brakes about 4 times and today I have to go to my local shop and buy a new brake for one of my bindings because it broke off >:(!  From what I've heard though, Look and Rossignol Pivot bindings are supposed to be bombproof and don't have this ridiculous problem.  Anyone wanna add on to that?

For future reference, don't say binders. Call them bindings. I don't care, but some people on these boards are a little grumpy.

I'm 100% opposite. My FKS brakes are a piece of shit. 1 arm broke off completely, and every other arm has bent in one way or another. Last year I had to get brought down by ski patrol cause my brakes bent nearly 45* and were leaning toward the tip of the ski. Nothing but issues with the brakes on my FKS.

My px12ti on the other hand have been bombproof.

I have had no problem with Look/Rossi Brakes breaking, but it happened on my Salomon bindings regularly. Every time it happened was on a switch landing if I remember correctly. All i can say is it happens, and there's not much you can do but get new brakes or new bindings if you are really unhappy with them and have enough disposable cash. You could see if you can get a warranty on the brakes, but I've never heard of that happening.

okayy so an update on my bindings theyve been holding up well with new brakes on them except for last night. i was working on some unnatty switchups and caught my tip on the kink of this box and some how my healpiece snapped off like the plastic broke is that under warrant? and if so anybody know approximately how long it will take to get fixed? thanks

t should be under warrenty but try to upgrade to the px14 ti's. much better imo.
