Embed Code without Fancy Editor

I used to be able to just paste embed code straight into a message body and the video would embed, but now it doesn't seem to work?

I had never tried that, i have always just click the fancy video icon and put the embed code there

Yeah it still works with the fancy editor, but without it seems to have changed and no longer provides any love

yeah something changed...now when i try to embed, it like...embeds the page in itself? i dunno, something crazy.
