Thanks for the help everyone. I threw my first cork and backflip today.
Heres how it went:
I went for a three and ended up going way to big and overrotating throwing the biggest 540 of my life. So I got really stoked on that. So I went over to my mountains smaller jump, maybe 15 feet, pretty big jump, reasonable landing and not as icy as normal. I was just so stoked and I was feeling so good I just went for the cork 5. I got corked out pretty good and felt great in the air. I'm pretty sure I made the rotation and just landed on my side like most people do when learning corks but the person I was with didn't see me do so I got no third person input. But then I felt even better, having finally attempted a cork, my first non-normal spin. So I got back up to the jump again planning on trying another cork but I was like fuck it, I felt so great in the air and the jump was good, why not go for the backflip.
So I had the normal amount of speed going. I went off the lip, threw my arms up, leaned back, and pushed my hips up to the sky. The take-off felt really smooth and good and perfect as in the right amount of speed and everything. As I was taking off, all I could think of was holy shit I'm actually going to do this. Then being upside down was the weirdest feeling ever. I just remember like one image of looking down at the snow while being upside down and it was moving fast. And it was cloudy out and during dusk so all I saw was white.
So I definitly made the rotation. I defintily did not land, but I can't remember how exactly I fell. I think I under-rotated but I'm not sure. My skis did not come off so obviously I couldn't have underotated that much. I just remember kind off slidding down the hill. The fall was not hard at all. I had no pain at all. I was so stoked I just did that and a few people came up to me and was like that was fucking nuts cause I guess not too many people do backflips at my hill but whatever it felt great and I didn't try another one because I was so amped up and it was getting dark and crowded but it was great overall.
And I didn't mean to claim here, I know backflips aren't a big deal to most people, but if anyone was thinking of trying one, heres how mine felt.
