Replying to Questions about speeding Tickets

I was just pulled over yesterday night for following too close and speeding, he put me for 5 over. Now that's two $82 fines which are bull shit. I was speeding before I was following too close, and much more than 5 over, but when I was tailgating, the guy in front of me was going way below the speed limit. I'm 17 and would love to keep my mom from finding out, and $170 in my pocket, and was wondering how I should accomplish this. I've gotten one ticket before but that was over a year ago.
