Yesterday my home mountain Schweitzer was supposed to get 16in of snow today but as of now it is raining up there and like 2 to 3 in of rain supposed to fall. There goes the ski season.

Ha, I just had the opposite experience. Snow report said 6" of fresh, ended up being waist to chest high in some places!!!

that's too bad. up here in Rossland we got 80cm's of snow over the past 48 hours. warmed up now and is raining on the lower 1/3 of the mountain... we're only like 3 hours away? I think Whitewater is above the freezing line still.

The Exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago. We were supposed to get a foot over two days but it ended up getting really warm and foggy and it rained like 5-6 inches. Now everything in the park is pretty much solid ice and it fucking blows. I hate living in the midwest.

But on a plus note its supposed to snow pretty much everyday next week :)

That's pretty much the story of every winter storm in Illinois. Its super cold up until we're supposed to get an amazing snow storm. Then it warms up to about 35 and we get nothing but freezing rain. After it's done raining, it usually drops back below 30 and everything turns to solid ice. fuck illinois.
