Replying to I just had a really scary thought...
younger kids these days, when they turn on The hills and whatever other MTV show is hot right now... there's no way for them to know that it isn't real.
I mean sure we young adults have already gone through highschool and have had close personal relationships with peple, but when youre 9 years old you dont really have any real life experience to compare with what youre seeing on TV (assuming the content of the program is for teenagers).
These shows are just poor dramas, and people are watching them thinking its real. Like I'm sure most people here don't like Ryan Sheckler anymore because of his MTV show, but let's be real, he's not an smart 90% of his thoughts are on skateboarding. So when he has cameras on him all he can do is take queus from the producers and reinforce whats going on in the episode by saying things like, "Dude I'm upset that you broke up with you're girlfriend and didn't tell me..." or the ever popular "I just want... a chill girl...".
Once you put a camera on someone their behavior changes. GAH!
I'm just frustrated that the reality line is being blured shit has to stop. I thought it was bad when Britney Spears was every girls role model. Now little girls are looking up to Lauren Conrad and heidi whatever her name is who are famous for shopping and going out to eat on camera.
I wonder if this makes any sense
