TWENTY INCHES of rain.....WTF?

Just heard on the weather channel that the pacific northwest (specifically in the olympic mountains) will be getting close to twenty inches of rain. The weather guy said he has never seen this much rain at one time in his entire career. I have to imagine at higher elevations there is going to be some crazy snow.
