off topic from orig. post, im still having a b*tch of a time making up my mind between invaders and anthems, im 6'2 and 155ish, i ski east (Smuggs in VT) not much pow around here, but im in it when we get it, the whole foot or so of it, haha, (other than that im in park (lots of rails and small/med jumps) or messing around on hits and junk in woodss and on sides of trails) im on 169 fugatives now and can ride everything on those fine if that helps, looking to geet 178s in which ever i choose

I would say invaders. They are supposedly better on rails and you won't need the stiffer/ wider anthem unless you are going on big jumps. And don't listen to people who say invaders are park only, quite a few of my friends shred the entire mountain on their invaders. Pow if a struggle, but its like that with any ski without a 100 waist or more

that was my thoughts, i needed some more backup though, im on either 80 or 85 waist now so i figured itd be fine, thanks again, too bad to hear your parents dont want you getting a pair.  That blows.

well they got me some PE's for xmas, and when i tried to use money i got from selling my textbooks to get some park specific skis (PE's are very all mountain, super stiff and heavy) they got insulted and thought I didn't like my xmas present :P

IMO i would go with the anthems if you're hitting alota jums n shit. the anthems i would say are a little more of an all mountain ski then the invaders cause they're wider, but im not saying you cant use the invaders in pow and glades and stuff. but if you're gonna be skiing a lot of urban/rails in the park i would go invaders ftw.

but overall looking at what you're skiing i would go with anthems 178

i've been on my 178 anthems for about ten days now and i love them, they're great all mountain, the only time i've noticed any chatter is on the real steep and icy. they turn very well and you don't notice the extra width until you hit the choppy stuff, and then it helps you blast right through it. don't let the extra width and being on the east coast deter you, its never held me back yet. i haven't skiied a whole lot of park on these yet, but what i have skiied has been good, they're light, fairly poppy, and have a good swing weight. i would highly recommend these, they're def a sick ski that has handled well in variable conditions.

btw i'm 6' 150 lbs, my anthems are mounted with griffons.

The Anthem only has different graphics, same sick park geometry and bomber construction
