"Full Tilt" is not a response

NEW RULE
If someone has shin bang or toe bang and makes a thread about it, asking for help, simply posting:
"Full Tilt!"
or
"get full tilt!"
is not an answer, its not even worth posting. No boot fits anyone perfectly and we cant go around perscribing full tilts as the universal cure for every boot problem.
It makes newschoolers look bad, and I just know some young and impressional kids have actually gone and bought full tilts off protorjones or wherever without even trying them on because this forum has a huge hard on for them.
Im no boot fitting guru but I do know one boot can never fit every foot. So please NS, knock it off.

your retarded. as a professional bootfitter I always match what fit wells with the type of performance they are looking for. Every boot company except fulltilt has a couple different boot shapes in different performance levels. However, in general the higher the performance the tighter, more narrow, the boot will get. SO, you try to find what fits the absolute best in the performance level they are looking for, and then tweak from there. people that buy boots on hype are the dumb.

Not true. Full Tilts are tha best boot on earth. Every pro actually rides full tilts. Your mind just makes you think that they are dalbello, salomon, head, rossi or whatever company you "think" they ride for.

Dude, you're wrong. I'm sorry, but you're wrong and dumb people who see your posts could get fucked real hard. I don't know why I'm looking out for dumb people (I like my natural selection) but this needs to stop.
Talk to any of these experienced bootfitters you apparently know - Certain boots don't fit certain feet. Period. You can change a lot of things to make it fit better, but these are all minor tweaks, you can't change the basic shape of the boot. Just in my experience from recently spending 20+ hours and more than $600 getting my boots perfect, I can tell you that if you have wide feet buying Langes or Full Tilts is a terrible fucking option. And there are PLENTY of other boots that perform just as well as Full Tilts, NS just has a dick-riding tendency when it comes to things like this. The #1 thing you should look for is fit. Always.

when i got my hotdoggers they hurt my feet so much to wear, but i endured and rode with them for a day.. i loved how the boots performed, especially with the extra flex and decided that the boot performed best for me. that night i went down to the ski store and $100, heat molding, 'blowing out' of the shell and a set of custom insoles later they fitted like a dream. since then no issues at all and hands down the best ski boot i have ever owned.

dude how are you supposed to butter and do stuff like that...I'm not trying to hate or anything just saying that landing back seat may have something to do with it but it not the complete cause...and as far as full tilt goes every ones saying that because they are rear entry boots and i have never heard of some one getting shin bang in them not saying its not possible but never heard of it....but all in all if you ski park you should get park specific boots or at least boots with small shin supports other wise shin bang is inescapable....and im no pro boot fitter myself so before you go buy them online for some "inexpensive" price please go try them on in your local ski shop

For those of you saying that you can do anything to a boot. you can not do an instep punch or stretch on a full tilt or krypton.

You can only change the fit of a boot to an extent. You're not going to fit someone with a EE foot into a Rampage and expect them to enjoy the "snug fit." Sure you might be able to rivet the buckles move them, but that wont change the fit of the boot. At that point I would rather put that person in a Head 11 rather than have him come back to the store and complain that his toes are all broken and black because they lost circulation. When it comes to boots, its all about flex and fit. You're right when you say you choose performence in a boot, but you're wrong when you say you choose it over fit. You try on what fits your foot first, then you make your decision. Not vice versa.
