atmosphere was crazy.

I have to get up at 5 tomorrow for a ski trip but im not going to able to sleep.

HAHAHAHA! Yeah, fucking Eyetalians. I'm just kidding, we shouldn't hate, this isn't soccer. The Italian boys on our team were grinding hard tonight and played really well throughout the tournament.

And that was a dope win, I don't think it was as epic as the past two games but daaaaamn 5 in a row feels fresh. I wish I was more organized and bought tickets, the place was bumpin.

Congrats to Canada.

They were the better team in this game, especially in power play. Though given the referees the game was not really fair.

Two massive hits on Markström, a player who is suppose to be untouchable according to the rules. Take a look at the replays of Esposito´s and Della Rovere´s hits(2 out of 4) and tell me he´s diving. Then add when Hedman got hit with the stick in the face + a whole bunch of other stuff and then tell me the ref´s did not give you a big advantage.

And then Tavares being the MVP is just a joke. The kid sure is good, but it is all just a huge media hausse. I would give it to Hodgson, Markström and some other players before Tavares.


Bottomline: Canada was the better team but Sweden was never really given a fair chance. And it´s a shame how Canada behaved in such a big celebrating moment.

you cant beat us at our own game! Canada rapes shit, as seen here. i missed this game, but the semis were fucking awesome, tied it up 5 seconds before the buzzer then destroyed the shootout

Maybe if Markstrom wasn't so busy trying to embellish calls for goalie interference, he might have played better and made the game more exciting to watch, but nope.

Sorry dude, you won't get much sympathy here. The refs had a dece game and in no way did they affect the final outcome. Besides, your goaltender was flopping everywhere like a little bitch. As a soccer player I have a decent tolerance for shit like that but FFS this is hockey.

You guys only have yourselves to blame whether it is your dismal power play (maybe our good penalty killing?) or your goalie's antics. This wasn't exactly a juggernaut Canada team like we've seen in recent years.

Anyways, I'm just pissed at myself that the tourney was in my home town and I didn't even make it out to a single game. There's always next years Olympics I guess...

P.S. What bad post game behavior displayed by the Canadians are you talking about?

the swede goalie was flopping around like a fish out of water, the commentators from the channel i was watching (TSN) even said so. He dove into all of those hits and in some cases skated out of his to run into the canadian player so he could dive.

on the outside the crease "hit" you can clearly see he's the one who was about to throw a hit, and then tripped, throwing his helmet and stick past the centre. seriously.

Hodgson got robbed. I don't think he particularly cares, but a 10th pick outplayed and outscored the heir to the first overall hype of the year. Hodgson played 1st power play, 1st line center, 1st penalty kill, and every single 5 on 3 for and against. I have never seen that in this tournament before.
