shoulder Injuries

i dislocated mine about 2 months ago, but that was like the 5th time i've dislocated it... it's gonna happen again for you too, unfortuanately. shit sucks man... but anyways, if you know an EMT, have them show you how to put it back in... if you do it correctly, it doesn't even hurt that bad. you want to SLIDE it back in, not slam it back in. i put my arm to my side, with my elbow bent 90 degrees, so my hand is pointing straight out from my body, then brace that hand on something, and turn my body until it slides back in. DON'T trust me on it though... or anyone kid over the internet. have somebody who KNOWS show you. cause it's pretty serious.

my injury is a posterior dislocation... antior dislocations are probably different. so seriously, ask a medical professional, and find out for sure. cause you wouldn't want to fuck it up worse.

as for skiing... sure why not.... just take it easy. be the camera bitch for your friends or something.

this summer some buddies and i were playing tackle football without pads and one of them dislocated his shoulder when he hit the ground. then he just like raised his arm above his head and it popped back in. it was a mild dislocation but it terms of recovery time...he played tackle football again 2 weeks later.

Last year I dislocated my shoulder and was out for like almost 2 months. it sucked so bad. My shoulder still isn't 100%

i fucked up my rotator cup last year at the end of the season, my shoulder is still fucked and i cant play any throwing sports anymore cuz its too fucked, and it requires surgery to repair but fuck it

the thing in lethal weapon doesnt really work. i read about that in a freeze magazine actually. Ive been told to just get your friend to straighten your arm and pull it straight out then it will want to slide back in.

My advice: Keep your arm in a sling FULL TIME for 3 weeks AT LEAST, then go to physio for AT LEAST 3 months. That's your only chance of a full recovery. I've discoed both of my shoulders, one of which is fine because I did exactly what my physio said, the other is fucked and I had to get surgery to correct it. I know you probably won't take my advice, but I'm telling you how it is.
