Replying to Skiers wearing snowboard gear

I just bought my new outerwear for this season( snow pants and outer jacket), but I bought burton pants and a bonfire jacket, yet I didnt realise til I got home that it was all snowboard brands.  I dont really care to much about brand names, but dont you think its a little weird that alot of skiers dress like snowboarders, and that when you look for ski apparel you usually are sent to clothing that would make you look like a 80 year old skiers or a skier in the 70's.  I think its sad that ski brands dont really make clothing ment for looking "cool" in the park, but some ski brands do.   Also has anyone ever been to a park ski only shop where they only sell park skis, me neither.
