Best quality ski company?

ok so im just wondering which company you guys think make the best overall skis...haha kind of an open ended question but lets hear what u guys think

alright i should elaborate-

by quality i'm assuming you mean the build of their skis? volkls skis are put together so well, they don't cut any corners. they mill their camber where as all other companies press theirs, and a lot of other little things like that. they obviously makes some skis that a lot of people don't like (chopstick, bridge, all the hiccups with the walls last year) but still the quality of their skis is really solid. and not only do they make one of the best park skis on the market right now, they also have (IMO) the best race skis available. if you think your park skis are poppy, try a pair of slalom racetigers. the only thing that really hampers them is their attachment to marker, but that got a lot better when the jesters came around.

volkl is definitely up there

but basically i would say anything with a good racing background thats also excelling today

for example:
Fischer
Volkl
Atomic (sorta?)
Rossy
Nordica
Head

skis that that are bound to be good over all. if your talking about freestyle specificly, well that would change

but over all, i think a company like Fischer who produces amazing race skis and has for years, and has recently been making great all mountain and park skis, definitely makes a great ski

my og dogens fell apart in two months. havnt gotten any volkls since. older heads are bombproof but ive seen several pairs of the jo pros explode. rossi has the best quality in my experience.

about your dogens. They arnt a true volkl, they cheaped out and they were made in china, dogens were crap, i have proof sittin in my room. Volkl is definetly up there in quality, espesh now with the walls.

So.. you're saying that every sandwitch style ski except for the bridge (which is made in germany for some odd reason) is not a true volkl because they "cheaped out" and made them in china?

Look at the sticker you get on any pair of walls and you'll see "MADE IN CHINA" or better yet, look at the bases of a pair of chopsticks, gotamas, or Kuros, or even Katanas and Mantras, and youll see "made in china"

The only volkls that are made in germany are the racestock skis, the higher-end AC series (AC30 and AC50), and for some strange reason the Bridges are made there too.

A ski made in china does not lower the quality of the ski imo. They are all made on the same exact equipment, the same exact machines, and are machined by workers who, even though they are in china, are pretty damn well off. I dont know about Volkl, but I understand that K2 workers over there make a well above average salary - which with China's recent boom, is pretty damn fair.

yeah the dogens (i've heard them called blowgens) were their price point ski that year and they were shit. their performance ski was the karma, which pretty much everyone loved until they quit making them.

In my experience the best quality skis are made by the k2 conglomerate (k2, line, volkl) of course the dogens sucked, and the PEs the one year they had awful topsheets, but otherwise i haven't heard of any quality issues with these three companies.

they're mostly made in China, yet they're outdoing all the European companies... hmmm

boone has pretty good quality too from what i've seen of my friend's

The funny thing is the Mantra is the Mens version of the Volkl Aura and my wives Aura's hav "made in germany" down the sidewalls and on the topsheets also.

My daughters Bridges do not say anything anywhere. I could see the bridges being made in china but not the mantra/aura

The Surface live life series are all top quality
my VCTs seem pretty bombproof so far
I've also heard of factions being really good
aside from these smaller companies bigger companies like k2 and volkl are also good quality

and for bad quality companies, i've never thought 4frnt put out any really well made skis. at least their park skis. elan race skis suck, and i've never really heard any redeeming things about other park skis. but those are just my opinion.

volkl fischer and elan are probably the top 3 from my experience. any ski company with ski racing history has it on lock.  as someone said above, this years Salomon are shit, i have had good luck with Line, thats all i have ever ridden for twin tips (besides my sisters Mo2's and my PE's from the first year they remade them 06 i think). the Mo2 was a sick ski and its sad to see that name gone as well as the rail underneath. may not have done anything, but it looked cool.

lol the codas are the cap kids ski that come in like...140. doesn't say much about armada as a company. the durability of armada park skis are pretty average, but i do think they're lively, well built, quality skis.

I love my 08 09 AR6's...

Besides top sheet chipping, which I don't give a shit about, they're fine. Bases and edges all doing great, and I've put them through some abuse. I do wax, tune, and just keep them in good shape though.

Topsheet really doesnt have anything to do with it. 

If you cant keep from smashing the skis together and chipping, the problem is the user, not the ski.

Dynastar by far has the highest standards when it comes to production quality.

Volkl used to be up there but recently their production has gone to shit. the quality these days is not the same that it was a few years ago.

The other one that I would say has a very high production standard is stockli skis.

2 years.
I got a half a year out of them, then a delam underfoot, then edge cracks, then i lost about 12-18 inches of edge, then everything just went to shit.

pretty much what everyone else said: older Head skis were quite indestructible,K2 has been very durable from my experience ( Public Enemies are the only skis I've ever broken, but I used them as my only skis for 3 seasons [~300 days excluding backyard jibbing, rock skiing, etc] and this is on the east Coast where there is lots of ice, rocks, moguls and hard landings. I'm also pretty tall and heavy and ski aggressively. Point is: they had more use than it would seem most people on here put into their skis)
Volkl Karmas are bombproof, I don't know about the rest of their skis, but I don't know why they would be any different except of course Dogens and OG Walls.

i have the 05/06 PEs and theyre good skis, except the topsheet. ive been out 3 times, and theyre tearing up right above the edges. i know its just a cosmetic thing, but it makes me feel like my skis are falling apart.

are volkl walls a good bombproof pick for park skiing??
