Nordic Skiers jibbing it up... it's the new gnar!

I can't really come up with a good rant as I'm so dumbfounded as to why someone would choose to hit the park on 47mm fiberglass sticks with freeheel binders and leather boots. So I'll let the hilarious video:

Seems like it makes skiing more difficult than it has to be. Tele park skiing is pretty legit but I just see this as too far. The people in the video are good, but it does look weird seeing those little boots and skis.

Stick with reg twin tip SKIS that are wider than a toothpick not to disrespect any of them some of them has some skillls just stick to skiing!!!!

well i would say one advantage would be that it is a lot easier to get speed for features on flat ground. the skis are also very light so its pretty easy and fun to just spin around and huck stuff.

im sitting here praying that this is a joke.... dude I live in norway where seriously 90% of the population (Im not norwegian, so fuck that shit) have a pair of nordic skis and I have never seen anyone close to the groomers before... the closest i've seen them to some groomers is the chairlift up...

but all that aside.. props to the people on the big kickers managing to land on a stick..

wtf? what is fischer thinking? first of all, all terrain parks are on alpine mountains. i find it hard to believe that nordic ski resorts would build parks.

What I don't get is, mind you I xc skiing 5-6 days a week, why the hell not at least use teli skis? Jibbing on xc skis is beyond hard. With a pair of downhill skis that kid would destroy that rail. XC skis have absoltely no stabilitiy in them for stufff like that, even if the jibskates are stiffer.
