so i just got some 171 ar6s and i like to do tech on rails a lot. first impression is they seem a bit long for that... what do you think? will the length make it tougher to do a lot of tech on rails or are they the right length and i just need to get used to it?
btw I'm like 5'5-5'6 and I only weigh like 115... so im a pretty small guy.

171 is perfect IMO...a longer ski helps alot with balance on rails, as well as landing bigger airs off jumps

I agree. I think that if you can't do certain tricks on rails with longer skis then your not doing it right you need to adjust. If you ski on 171's in no time you will be doing what you can already do on your old skis with ease

dude, im 5'9 and i ride 172's, i think 171's for someone whos that small, both height and weight is a little crazy. i would go a step down, like 168 at most

interesting, but wouldnt it be easier to pop around on rails with something thats smaller and lighter? Im not talking snowblades or anything...
it seems like everyone has a different opinion on this
