PE's vs Scratch

my buddy works at a (crappy) ski shop. the only twins they have are public enemies or the blue, wood core scatches. he can get me one of the pairs at cost. i need something that can take the whole mountain. which should i take?

Actually I just noticed that this is in the SG forum, I thought i was looking at ski equipment. There have been a lot of equip posts in SG.

I did help... and to everyone else, I think I WILL post what skis I would buy in his situation even if it's really totally useless to him. I can sit here and imagine getting Scratch BCs at cost. Ooooo... whats that, like 250$ or something?

yeah something like that. but its not the BC's. its the blue scratches with the wood core.im leaning towards the PE's, but im not sure i like the graphics. i think i could grow to like them though.

I thought the new scratch nothings had a foam core? Oh well. Anyways. If its those then I'd say def. PE's. Graphics mean nothing. Besides I like the graphics and I'm the one deciding your skis for you here so stop posting your opinions. And now im imagining getting PEs at cost. ahhhh...thats gotta be cheap. How much is that?

depends how big of a kid you are. if your a scrawny little thing, the scratch's might be a better bet cause they arent as stiff, therefore you would be able to control them better. otherwise i would go with PE's. they rip

am i the only one that acctually understood that all this kid wanted to know was which ski would be better all over the mountain?

I ride the Reg. Scratches and i love them. Great flex, great on rails, nice and solid in the air. A great all around ski. I find the PE's 2 stiff, but i have never ridden them, i only held a pair that my friend has, so i don't have a valid oppionion on those. I lvoe the Scratchs tho, so either way u can't go wrong. Just make sure your making a decision based on ur preferences, not mine.

I have the PE's and they are a sick all mountain ski, i find the scratches just a little bit to flexible and not very wide. The only bad thing is the flex on the PE, it's really stiff but not hard to geat used to, flys through pow like nothing and handles in the air great, i recommend the PE.
