I bought Rossi soft boots this summer, brand new. I was pretty stoked. They fit great, had nice flex. I skied in them a few times this year. Then, last night, I am making a routine turn through a groomed, but a little chunked slope and the top buckle straight up rips off. I fall, and get up to look for my ski because I dove forward so hard. I look down and both my skis are on and I see the buckle/strap just dangling there. This ruined the boot, I can't make hard turns, much less land anything even slightly front seat. These were brand new, used three times
Now, I am going to have to send them back to the shop, to send them back to rossi. By the time they get back it will be February and I will have missed a) my Xmas break ski trip, and b) most decent riding here because the season ends in march here. So, don't buy stupid rossi soft boots. bleh

If your shop is cool, they might just give you a pair of boots they have in stock and just keep your warrentied boots when they get shipped back from Rossi. That is if they replace the boot, instead of fixing it though.

^^ they said they would warrenty the boot but there is nothing else they can do (not even give me boots). If I don't have my boots back by my trip with the roommates... who knows... mayhem!

Well he said he bought those boots this summer, so unless you just started skiing this season, you still have your old boots, right? Just use those. See this is why I have a backup pair of everything except ski pants.

dont worry bout it man the back of my boot ripped on my old softs too and i sent em back n then they sent me soft ones and i had soft 3's so u will probably get a really good deal out of it, though my feet grew while i was waitin for them and they didnt fit me so i gave them to my brother and i got 1080's

wait till after your skiing trips to warranty them, and for now, just duck tape them tight
i've done it before

Tell them to bring the to the local rep he will get you new boot the next day. Bring them to the shop and say' give these to the local rep' and you should have boots in the next 2or3 days.. worked on my Rossignol scratch.. got new skis the next day.

thanks for all the advice guys... turns out I am just going to get a new buckle and some rivets... note* while the softs are very nice boots and feel good, I might recommend going for 1080s if you are looking for a freeride boot :)

You sure that a trip is worth voiding your warranty on your boots. If your buckle or anything else breaks on your boots your fucked. As soon as you put that rivet in the shell rossi isn't going to fix a thing. Talk to the rep like someone up above said.

rossi softs are more comfortable than the 1080's but the 1080's are lighter and are still pretty comfy and look cooler
