im looking a buying a pair of 07/08 AR6's with S912's on them, but i have a new pair of Z12's sitting at home that id love to throw on them.

are the hole patterns the same? or would i have to get them re drilled etc.

no, the 912 toes have 4 screws whereas the z12 toes have 3 screws

and why would you mount z12s over 912s? 912s are way better

exactly if its because you need to remount anyway, dont use the z12s
