I got ripped off on ebay!

Well this past week I bought some armada thalls 176,Theses are the skis I thought I bought:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200290886261&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
I recieved my skis yesterday,I was so excited but when I opened them I noticed my skis had the wrong design such as the right skis is supposed to match the left ski,but got two of the same designs.

I contacted the seller but heres what he had to say:
Hi, depending on the batch for these skis, they do come either the same or matched design. I had asked Tanner that same Q last year, and he said they do come either way, so you do have the right pair of skis. Please see the comments we got from other buyer that I cut and pasted here for you --

I realized after mounting the bindings that the graphic is not as shown. It isn't the same cool "mirror image". The SNs match, so it isn't that I got two lefts. No biggie, thanks again for the super quick shipping. Cheers.

We had just sold out of all of our Armada T-Halls, so we have no ski to exchange either, Sorry about that. They are great skis, and I am on a pair myself that I have bee riding on the past season and LOVE THEM!! You've got a great deal on them. We sold several pairs at almost twice your price before on ebay. They were on our retail floor for $649.99 and sold out last year before we ordered another batch. Thanks again for your purchase. Stomp a big trick and rip a fast run for us. Have a great season!!

What should I do?I think this qualifies as false advertising?

Word. Its just a graphic. The ski is going to perform exactly the same as if you got the graphics you wanted. And if the SN's match, then you didn't get ripped off at all. Just stop worrying about it and ski it!

i could understand it if your skis had a painting which actually covered both of them and therefore did not match with lets say 2 "left ones".. but your skis are just black and white.. who cares if one "armada" writing is on the top or not.. you wont even notice yourself after some time

you didn't get ripped off, you're just an idiot who didn't take time to look at the picture. the skis in the photo in the add are identical to the ones you received. and if the serial numbers match, they are a pair.

some asshole tried to pull some shit like that on me when i sold my dad's crossmaxes. learn to read the add and look at the photos and you won't have a problem.

if you were actually a skier you wouldn't care about the graphics on your skis and whether or not the logo was on the tip or tail. the skis will perform the same regardless of where the logo is. as long as they came in the condition that was advertised you don't have a complaint

Yes the skis will ride the exact same way, but he has a right to be a little confused/displeased with the fact that he was essentially sold two left skis.

Is it thread worthy or that big of a deal?  No.  But you don't need to take over this thread to try and make him look like a douche  He's 16, cut him a break.

did you honestly think that they weren't stolen or that there wasn't something wrong with them? at that price, I'm surprised it wasn't a scam and that you even got a pair of skis in the mail.

if something sounds too good to be true it probably is. you should be happy that you received a great pair of skis for a great price

i agee with you.

when it comes to buying things, you better get what you ask for. maybe you wont get into the college you want, but when you go into stores, you dont take the risk of buying a broken tv (for example). you get what you deserve, what you paid for, you get the new fucking tv or you get some compensation.

Whats with all the hate?I just wanted some advice on what to do.What if you bought shoes and one didnt match the other?Keep em?Hell no,you want the one that matches.So i dont understang why everyones freaking out because i want a matching ski.

i'll give you some advice: tuck in your skirt and go skiing

if i received two left shoes they would be useless because of the shape of my foot....the sidecut is identical on both skis so the functionality doesn't change. (ie. you can still use them) its a completely different situation

The hate is because, you asked for advice, we gave you advice, and you still keep bitching. You are taking the cosmetics of the ski WAY too seriously. You got an off the chain deal, and now your complaining. And sorry, but your shoe analogy is way off, but If you want answer I'll give it to you. I don't buy shit from eBay that I care so much about, there is way too much that can go wrong. When I want shoes, i go to my local skate shop and try them on to make sure I like them, I like to actually hold/use/see/try on things before I buy them.

Check the serial numbers on the skis, if they MATCH you can;t do shit, its a legit pair of skis, just printed different. If they don't match, you might have an argument for return. end of story.

Exactly. IF YOU GO INTO THE STORE. Not what you bought off eBay. Besides, nothing is broken, his skis are 100% as good as the same skis with the correct graphics.

if anything it looks cooler since they're different from others. my only concern would be that they actually are Thalls. Wasn't Sierra selling a bunch of THall prints which were pipe cleaners, ar5s and the like? They did mention this in the description and noted it's the described ski printed with thall graphics

no hate. hahha. but this thread needs to be deleted. keep your skis and stop thinking about it.

it appears that you got the same skis as listed in the picture, just in the shot they were facing the correct way for the graphic (perhaps a little decieving) but the thing is. it doesn't matter. your skis are meant to be skied on. that's what you should be concerned with. sure its nice to have a sweet graphic. and guess what. you have one. even if it's just slightly different in direction than the one armada first designed

you got new t.halls for hella cheap. be happy. in no way did you get ripped off on ebay fool

Wow man, "I got ripped off" takes it a little far since you got the same skis.  Get over it.  If those skis had some awesome graphic or something I would totally agree, but c'mon....they are black and white.  Pretty simple.

haha i have my invaders mounted one with the pink up fron the other with the blue theyre %100 symmetrical so it doesnt affect anything
