when there are little fuckers around that think they can ski right in infront of you, i usually say drop so either i get to go or i can have an excuse to complain to other people when they continue to cut me off
on busy days in the park i say it or raise a arm to signal im dropping, makes things easier, and like the other dude said, someone cuts you off and snakes everyone waiting you still go cause you called out and waited not them
just say it so that way if someone snaked you you can have an excuse to say shit to them and i like it because it just kind of solidifies the fact that your going for something mentally...
i've always thought of people standing at the top of the park like rush hour traffic.. if people would just go and not stop then the park would flow smoothly but people just get up there and wait so god damn long .. i never call drop.
haha thats great. but i say it when its busy in the park, or if other people are lined up along a run, or to hit a cliff, just in case, cause someone getting snaked in a situation like that could end up really bad
you can't be riding on someone ass... you gotta wait for them to move down before you go.
its like your online at a store. someones checking out and your next. They can't check out two people at once (riding on their ass). so when the person up is done, as im waiting for them to grab their bags and put their money away, you walk right up because you think im not going and snake my spot
its respect man, i try to give people their space to go, and get really mad when people cut me off, there for i wouldnt cut people off myself
i agree, but I also feel that snaking someone in the park is an asshole move especially if it makes it so they have to stop and hike to the top of the inrun again, so I say drop
ok so let me re-phrase... i didnt say i snake people. but if i get to the top and everybody is just standing there then i just go if there's nobody too close
ok, whatever. i forfeit this thread to the people who always wait for every single person that was standing at the top of the park before them to go this thread. you win.
You've obviously never skied at park city, which is where tex skis. All we do to train and just go. If you sit around and wait, then you're going to be waiting for awhile because we train and dont stop skiing. I hate when a shit ton of people sit at the top of a jumpline for 10 mins waiting to drop in, so fucking annoying.
