Full Tilt getting wet!

Someone else have this problem with Full Tilts? Mine always get wet after one day at the hill. And do you have som advices to get them dry again for the next day?

I usually take out the liner from the shell and put some toilet paper where it's wet, so it can absorb the water, and then I put the liners somewhere warm. But they doesn't always get dry after this...

is it the inside of the liner or outside?

has the liner been molded to your foot?

I always take the liners out and put both the liners and shells in the laundry room, cause it's hella warm and super dry in there. Seems to always work for me. Mine get wet because they're so warm that I sweat in them.

mine get really really wet too. all of last year i removed my liners. but taking them out like 40 times started to get them to fall apart at the seams.

what i do now is newspaper in the boots, and i just put a hair drier in each boot for five-ish mins as i wake up. never fails

That sucks. I would be pissed if my boots were leaky. I guess it goes to show how gimmicky full tilt is.

30 years of an award winning, unmatched 3 piece boot design on the top pro athletes in the world is not a gimmick, it's a great product.

Can you describe how your boots are getting wet? One possibility is that you are not pushing down the tongue to seal with the lower boot correctly creating a small gap that can let water/snow get to your liner.

First, definitely mold them.  The fit, comfort, and response during skiing is vastly superior.

not sure what you mean they are getting wet from the inside.  Are your feet getting very sweaty in them?  Are you leaving them caked in snow at the end of the day?  anything like that?

I know when I use them I always make sure the tongue is completely down and I definitely make sure my pant cuff is always over the top of my boot.

never had any issues though and I have gone through 3 pairs thus far.

Not sure if it is sweat or melted snow or something that is getting them wet. When I take off the boots my socks aren't wet at all while the inside of the liner is pretty wet and the outside of the liner isn't. So I'm not sure what's causing the wetness.

What do you mean by caked in the snow? If you mean leave them in the snow, i don't do that.

i always make sure to smack my boots together before throwing them in the car to make sure there is no issue with snow, so sounds like that is not a problem.

ok, so inside of liner is wet, but socks are not.

where do you ski/general conditions?  are you ripping pow all day or just hanging out in the park/mix, etc?

u prob just sweat mad a mounts that what i do i sweat so much i just spray anti persperance on them and its all good now maybe ur not lining up the toungue or somethin or ur pants arent over them all the way

it is because your sweating.  if it was snow the outside of the liner would be wet. your socks are still dry because they are probably a mosture wicking material so they pull the sweat off your foot and to the boot.

go get the liners molded to your foot.

These days that my boots have became wet, I have only rode park.

But why would molding my boots keep them dry? (I'll do it anyways, just wondering)

also to the post just above me, my guess is that when you do park all day, you use your feet the most because of just spinning landing and jumping in general.  All that makes your feet work hard which will of course make your feet warmer which will help your feet sweat.  Also on park days, a lot of the time it's a warm day(not always, but sometimes) so that could also make your feet sweat.

and with the molding thing, you should definitely do it because it gives your feet a lot more responsiveness and a better feel for the snow, also it will give you way more comfort inside of your boot

your feet are just getting wet.  my feet sweat like a mofo in those boots.  i just wear really really thin socks.  problem solved.  try sock liners.

Mine are molded and I got wet feet. I think its the hinge near the rubber seal on the toe that lets in water. I duct taped it, on one boot to see if it made a difference, and it did. Both of mine have tape around the hinge under the tongue, we'll see how it works Monday.

If you arent skiing with something duct taped, you arent skiing.

any boots that require duct tape to keep your feet dry are bad boots. if all full tilt boots do this then they are gimmicky pieces of junk.

yea, some boot dryers will damage the full tilts or warp the molding of the liner.

the only time mine got wet was last week when we skied a slush day and literally rode through puddles.

amazingly, i rode a few days later in 25 degree weather with high winds alll day with basically sopping wet liners and never even noticed cold in my feet at all.  after that when i realized it i just yanked the liners, footbeds, etc and put it in front of a fan all night.

be careful with the hair drier in the newspaper! the heating element is at the tippy top of the part where the air comes out and can get really hot, it'd suck to walk in and see your boots on fire.

but word, other than the newspaper hair driers are a cheap alternative to a boot drier...
