Replying to Calling the NS Doctor: Upper back pain...
One fateful September eve in 2008 I was real drunk and jumped in my basement and smashed my head into the ceiling full-force... don't ask why, I'm not really clear on that either. Since then I have been plagued with an annoying pain in my upper back (more specifically, my spine, lol). I have had this discomfort in my spine since the injury, and it varies depending on my level of activity (if I'm workin out it hurts quite a bit afterwards, and since I've been skiing these past few weeks it hurts pretty bad).
I went to the doc and he sent me off for an x-ray and told me to come back in 3 months to see if it got any worse (I don't like my new doctor, I tried explaining to him that I've had the problem for longer than 3 months and it hasn't gotten any better). In the x-ray they found a small bulge but he said it should be fine (idiot). I just want to be able to ski, work out, etc.... without the fear that I may have something terribly wrong with my back, has anyone experienced anything like this?
