i used to work at Killington teaching, i got fired though. Apparently the bosses dont like it if you take kids for the 'advanced terrain lessons' (black diamonds and shit) and bring them into the park to teach them how to hit kickers on slow days

haha it was worth it

im an instructor. i work in the kids program at our mountain. i take the little ones into the pipe and park sometimes. its awesome, we dont have a real pipe, just a v shaped thing dug into the ground and they just kind of ride through it goin up and down the walls.

instructed for two years at stevens, got fired when the skier x and lessons landed on the same day, you can guys which I chose, But aleast I let my kids come and watch me. :)

i applied to be an instructor, got rejected, then just got offered a job this past weekend cause some past instructors never showed up. i was having such a good time skiing I rejected the offer

as a soon to be ski bum, i was wondering...what is the best job to have at a ski area? some people say avalanche patrol, because you just blow shit up at night and ski during the day, except the whole risking my life every night in a shed full of TNT to start avalanches doesn't sound too fun.

Teach a park boarding class on Saturdays (travelling school) and a park skiing class on Monday nights. I don't get fired for taking kids into the park, I got promoted!

I'm a volunteer patroller. Unless you ski at a big mountain, your patrol is made up of volunteers (we don't get paid anything). So, try and cut them a little slack as they are there to pick you up when you get a concussion on a 40' table or break your arm in 2 places on a kinked rail. Most patrollers like to see kids go huge and think it's pretty sweet.

Instructor. I just got my Basic Park and Pipe accreditation. There was gonna be an intermediate and an advanced but apparently i'm the only one in the entire east to sign up for those. So all you instructors out there get off your lazy ass next year and sign up.
