I hate my anthems...help me pick a new ski

i always get speedwabbles and i don't feel solid on my landings. they are great for butters, boxes, and switch riding... but that's it. I've had them for a year and i've gotten used to them, just not crazy about them.

I have 178s and I'm 6'3" 200lbs

I feel like I'm too big for em.. and i'm thinking of going to a stiffer ski
I already have pow skis. this ski is just for groomers/crud/park(mostly park)

I've read up on a bunch, but they all sound pretty decent

I've narrowed in down to

armada Ar6 181
Volkl Wall 185
Salomon Suspect 181

I'd like to know which is the stiffest out of the 3 and don't suggest moment, I have too many friends who have torn out of them. any help would be greatly appreciated.


sidenote: i'll sell my anthems for 170 shipped... already mounted with px12s for a 325bsl

my new dumnts flex pattern is almost the same as the suspect, and i love them. the suspect is definitley the stiffest out of those 3, great for switch riding, and super stable on jumps. get them

ar6s are a tad bit stiffer then walls, but walls are a better park ski(symetrical), but if you will be mounting not center then for sure get ar6s, i love mine so much

volkls are pretty stiff and solid, walls seem like a good choice.

I just got Fischer Addicts. I dont do that much park, i got them for all mountain really. They are awesome. they hold up really well at high speeds and i definitely like to go fast. they are on the stiffer side. they also have the addict pro witht he renforced tip and tail. you should check em out. they have sick pop too. look into them

armada alpha1's are perfect for you or you could buy shananagans t-halls for $75 (i have the skis just got broke to fast) or chronics, pipe cleaners or addicts

walls are the stiffest. i have never felt a stiff ar6. every ar6 that i have seen in the shop is as soft as elizabeths. and the suspecthas a moderate flex, kinda in between stiff and soft, but a more on the stiffer side. not as stiff as my chronics. im pretty sure walls are the stiffest

have u ever even ridden the other two skis?

walls are byyyyyy far the stiffest park twin, followed by addict pros. id recommend walls in 185 if ur center mounting, its symmetrical, still has a bit of play to it in the tip and tails (super beefy under foot) and the new ones have no issues with topsheet pull outs. id go that route before i went anywhere else, killer in the park but its all mountain performance is really bar none

 I have this years chronics mounted at recommended and they are purrfect. Hold an amazing edge when tooling around the mountain, handle the east coast ice super well, and did fine in the 6 inches of pow pow we got the other day. They are very stable in the park as well, stomping even the choppy, late day landings with ease. Get them!

i ride the addicts. Their mad fun, they are definitely on the stiffer side like some other people were saying.

i bought mine for more of an all mountain feel. I definitely go to the park and hit jumps and rails, but im pretty new to free style. I spend a lot of time bombing groomers with my brother or on some tough terrain. they hold up really well at high speeds, i feel really confident in them (only thing that i dont like is that because i dont do that much park, i would have rathered a ski i could mount back from center). They also have sick pop, like if your a bigger guy, when you flex them they spring up really nicely.

everybody saying walls are so stiff need to either actually try the skis or hit the gym. I'm almost 6 feet 170 and my 185s aren't THAT stiff. Yes they're stiffer than some other park skis but they are by no means not butterable. They do have flex to them, and the more you ski them the softer they get.

as a matter of fact, i have. they walls are very stiff, yes. but they are not as stiff as the suspects. i was actually riding my friends walls and could butter flat ground fine, then went to my friends supects and couldnt. so imo, the suspect is stiffer, and i cant say much to the addict pro besides i hear its supert stiff

1.  If were riding Baker why do you need a park ski in the first place?  For non-pow days and stuff??
2.  Get Reno Jibs
3.  Moment is sick
4.  Addicts seem really sick too, and they are pretty stiff for a park ski

i ride anthems in the same size and i'm 5 8 and 135. makes sense that yours feel too small. go for walls, they'll be good.

i have hellbents... i'm good on pow sticks

i love having a skinny ski that i ride normally, i don't want to have just bents.


i'm getting alpha 1s and or reno rockers...i like the feel of rocker

Armada AR6 is a very solid ski.  I just got some 09 TNK's for $300.  I am a big guy too so I was looking for a stiff ski and these are stiffer and wider than the AR6.  Race base is a sweet addition too.
