Whenever i watch xgames or see a film shot in Colorado the mountains in the background have no snow on them. Does it have something to do with sun rays.

Colorado gets pretty light snow, so up on the peaks where it gets really windy the snow blows of also any face the faces south gets backed by the sun and te rocks heat up and melt. Usually on the other side of a ridge that doesnt have much sow there is a big cornice
