A lot of people have been saying that most of the weight comes from the bindings and the skis dont matter... I looked it up and it seems to me there's a pretty big difference in weight between some skis:
Rossi Scratch FS: 1790 grams (174 cm)
Rossi Scratch BC: 2070 grams (182 cm)
Salomon teneighty: 1680 grams (171 cm)
Dynastar Trouble Maker: 1780 grams (165 cm)
Volkl V Pro: 3410 grams (170 cm)
Seth Pistol: 4500 grams! (179 cm)
But:
S912ti: 990 grams
Rossi power 120: 1338 grams
Marker Comp 1400: 1117 grams
The last 2 skis don't make sense to me... why they would be that much heavier is beyond me. But still, even the heaviest high quality binding is still lighter than the lightest twintip.
