ok... lean forward on the takeoff, so far that your head is above your tips.
This is just to get you used to leaning forward, you wont have to do this after a while

you just have to commit, be sure you turn all the way sideways. once you get on the rail, watch the end of it! that is a really big help. Also, forget what that dumbass said about leaning forward, instead keep your weight centered but with your hands somewhat out front to keep your feet from flying out from below you. Another bit about your stance is that you should have your front ski tipped back just a little, to keep you from catching an edge. If this seems like a lot to keep in mind while on a rail, just watch a couple movies and study what the pros do on rails.

there are two ways to get on 'the rails' you can full out hop(self explainitory)(sp.) or do what i call the 'side step' jump you jump using one foot to boost you high above the rail. Make sure you dont get suck trying to 'ride on' to ride on rails you will catch you edges faster or go to fast when on the rail. When your on it keep your feet about shoulder with apart and try to kep it that way thro the slide...dont put your feet to wide or to close or you will eat it....damn im confusing...i hope this can help some way

i ususally just hit the jump as if it was a jump (without that much speed though) and pop off the jump and then turn 90 and land on the rail.. Be sure to watch the end of the rail while doing this.. Your body will pretty much do it for you as long as your mind is ready....

ya the key is to watch the end of the rail but keep your body a full 90 degrees

make sure you land on the rail between your front binding and in front of your heel, basically right about the ball of your foot, that way its easier to correct your balance or spin out if you wish

What I do on rails is I spin so it seems like i will over-rotate from 90 degrees. that just helps me make sure i get the full 90 rotation because that is super important. another thing, I see lots of people just learning fall half way down because their feet naturally come together on the rail, this is hard to counter because it is just natural to try to bring your feet together. Once on the rail, try to focus a little bit on keeping your feet pushed apart to give you better leverage. I still sometimes end up grinding a whole rail with my feet close together and it makes it a bit tougher.

act like ti is a skateboard, when you jump on you have to keep your weigth centerd, or else it will fly out from under you, just rember keep your weight centerd in teh takeoff nad the rail

your body position on the rail should be kinda like a football player's (knees bent back a little forward, hands comfortably in front of you, balanced), except with your hips opened up towards the end of the rail to make your upper body face the end of the rail. dont exaggerate any of these tips too much, or you'll look like a tard.

dont put your skis flat. you can easily catch a edge. slant them back a little bit

I leaned way to far back and then smash my hip on the rail. so just stay forward and look at the end of the rail.

commiting is the most important thing. Cause if u never fully commit to the rail you will never get it. I've seen people hit grinds over and over and over and never get it cuz they never commit to it and always slide off.

fujas and tanners trick is to keep your hands close to your knees and crouch. have your wait right over the middle of your skis but to compensate for the speed of the rail lean slightly forward when you get on the rail. oh be completely fucken sure of yourself that youll make the rail. visualize everything about it. What its gonna be like to hit kink 4, or the degree youll lean in on at mid point on a c rainbow. seriously if you can see yourself doing the whole rail through perfectly youll easily do it. same as jumps. you dont go into a jump going im gonna eat crazy shit and then try a dspin or something and land it. 9 outta 10 times youll crash
