skiing beautiful 4 ft deep pow.. dropped a cliff blind cause i didnt know it was there... dropped 30 ft to 3 feet or so in front of a boulder, ate shit swerving around it. fell forward, two front teeth went through upper lip, two layers of pants and the skin on my knee, then broke off. three layers of stiches in my lip and stiches in my knee and a whole bunch of dental work... and a whole bunch more to come. yaaaaaaaaaay.

that would be the time that i was in park city when i was seven and i broke my femir. i was on a cat track and my dad was skiing next to me, he some how slipped and our skis crossed and he fell on me. not very slick. so i broke my femir and got air lifted. but actually it kicked ass cause i gotta skip school for like 6 weeks (i was in a body cast) and my grandma flew out to stay with us just so i could cook. i watched tv all day and played with legos, i only had to do homework twice.

Crystal, that sounds nasty. Well i recently broke my leg in two places, but it wasnt skiing, i was skating. i was trying to ollie a 6 set and i landed wrong and my leg completely fucked up, but then the ambulance came and gave me lots of drugs so i dont remember much after that...

^ yea i felt my time was comming and it did. long story short i was goin fast and launched. went like 150 ft and crashed blacked out rolled. i had internal bleeding, my pelvis was fratured in 3 places, and my hip was torn away from my spine. so now i have a plate and 4 inch screw in my spine and now one foot is shorter than the other.

A couple years ago I royally overshot a table and the last thing I remember is rolling down the windows and watching where I had intened to land fly by while I was still on my way up. I woke up in a pool of my own blood, I'd smashed my face on my knee and split (it was actually more like ripped) my chin open on my knee and given myself a serious concussion (my fifth damnit, man I suck). I had to have layered stitching because it was such a nasty tear but the worst part by far was the fact that my bastard friends took advantage of the fact that I had little or no idea what was going on for most of the day and conned me out of a bunch of money.

torn tennons in shoulder and a grade 4 concussion in pipe. 10 foot to snag one ski on the deck and fall to flat bottom of the 18 foot wall pipe. i dont remember about 7 hours of that day...

2 years ago at my local hill we built a little booter of the backside of the hill. It was solid ice and pretty steep. I launched about 50 ft and landed on my left hip, bounced, and spun backwards. When it was all over I had torn cartiledge in my knee and split my feemer lenght wise. I was on crutches for a while but it healed fast suprisingly.

it doesnt sound exciting, but it hurts like hell. when i was 12 i went off a little tiny jump and landed all weird and hurt my back enough that i had to get taken down the hill. they couldnt see anything wrong, so i just went home. so now, 7 years later, my back really really hurts, and i find out that fractured my L4 pars and it had healed funny and rubbed against my other vertebre weird, making it hurt like shit. so yeah, its doesnt sound bad, but it is

probably My 1st Junior Olympics Downhill. Basically i hit this rut, lost my ski spun 90 and pached real hard. next thing im in my parnets car going back to bend. I got real bad concussion, screw my back up, and had to puke woth nothin in my stumach worst thing ever.

Whistler park, 3 or 4 years ago stomped an air, then straightlined it(down a hill after the landing) to the next one, aired way to far, slowly rotating forwards (expecting to land on a downslope) caught my tips on the landing smashing my head and body into the ground. My shoulder dislocated on impact, breaking the upper arm bone, then my muscles from my arm tore apart the bones in my shoulder socket. And I had a crazy ass concusion. You gotta love it when you get to the hospital and the ski patroller is like 'remember that number I gave you to remember? what was it' and you are like 'you gave me a number?' anyways, lots of healing afterwards.

during a giant slolom run on an icy michigan peak, I lost my uphill ski in a rut at the end of a turn, but I was going through a tight rhythm section on the headwall so I didn't notice that I lost it until I went to set my edge on the next turn and tumbled head over heels through three gates. I got out of it uninjured, my coach cranked my DIN up, and I got the best crash of the day. An overall success. I apologize for the gratuitous racing story, I can assure you that those days are moving behind me.

first run of the day, came at a table full speed goin switch, misjudged the amount of pop on the lip, started spinning too soon, caught my tips on my way up, went straight back down to the ground flat on my side, collapsed my left lung, then proceeded to sit inside watchin ski movies the next day in my own misery while all my friends skiied a foot of fresh snow. so even if my injury wsnt the worst, the consequence definately was

After Inter-Mt state comp. in the midwest, I was a senior in highschool. Ended up 3rd overall for the GS and Slalom, i was in high spirits. This is at Afton Alps if any one knows that place, no park whatsoever so my friends and i were getting ansy looking for jibs or jumps (about 4 years ago). Was still in my GS suit (with a jacket and pants on of course) and we found a huge knoll. I tucked it up to the knoll for a 3, started the spin and immedietley got off axis. flew through the air sideways and landed with my arm pointing striaght over my head, dislocated and destroyed my shoulder instantly. THe injury didnt hurt at all because all the nerves were detroyed but i layed on the hill for an hr, then it took 45 minutes to get to the imergency room, then i waited there for anoterh 2 hrs getting morphine. by the time they reset my shoulder it had been almost 4 hrs. Needless to say, the bones and muscles were completely trashed so i had reconstructive surgery.

Point of note--Afton ski patrol licks my ass, they kept trying to set it without realizing the bones in my shoulder had shattered so everytime they tugged on it to set it I would black out because of the pain and the feeling of dry bones and muscles grinding away at eatother. And they refused to listen to me. fuckers, i hate you all

u think ur concisquence was the worst^^ get this. i got hurt on fri the 14th of feb on valentines day. on feb the 16th i was supposed to leave for colorado. so 2 days before i left i got hurt. it SUCKED

thats why you dont ever trust the patrol unless both your legs are broken... ive never been on a sled and i never intend to... knock on wood... and if i do get hurt and they show up and try and make me go in the sled, ill just hit them with whatever bloody stump i might at the time have and get someone to drive me to the hospital.

so yeah... while your passed out or whatnot, make sure you dream about getting right up and kicking the ski patrols ass.

last year i went off a jump did a 180 landed funny on my knee (i was skiing solo) and dislocated it....I hada pop it back in place and ski for the rest of the week...it didnt heal correctly cuz I didnt see a doc bout it....so now it hurts like hell...

Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is why several of us died of tuberculosis.

yesterday morning I lost my ballance of a small drop and slammed face first into a solid pine tree, three fractures across my left cheek, some torn muscles in my shoulder and a dirty concussion is all I ended up with, the hospital let me go this afternoon. they say I'll loose six weeks but I'll be up before that.

I had a big day of skiing lined up and i was in the process of loading my car when i missed a step running out the door with skis in my hand and landed on my ankle sideways and then on my chin/face. i bit into my tonge and split my chin open. my ankle was the size of a fucking grapefruit. Thank god for cell phones and friends in med school who fixed me up all good at no cost to me. I didn't care about the pain, i was just mad to be off the snow for 6 weeks.

Morphine makes me have nightmares.

i messed myself up when i went to big white it was all bumpy and icy for some reson and i couldnt stop and i fell my left ski poped off and whacked my left arm right above the elbow and i couldnt lift my arm for the rest of the day i also lost my goggles in the trees

most recently was when i was trying to hit a 7o foot table at okemo switch. i was straitlining like half the park switch and when i hit the jump i started to rotate to early. i did a 180 superman onto an icy landing. i bruised some ribs and couldnt breath for a while.

I was skiing 3 years ago, went to launch off a jump on one black. It turned out to be a 5' high mogul, had too much speed to avoid it. I went off sideways, came down hard, my bindings were cranked too high from being in the park, so they didnt release right away. I snapped both bones in my lower right leg at the top of my boot. It hurt like crazy...but I was walking in 5 weeks after having a titanium rod installed. It's still there too, even sets off metal detectors at airports. Pretty cool...huh?
Life is simple: Eat, sleep, ski.

Apparently throwing snowballs at moving vehicles is a felony and can land you in prison for a year. Who knew?

Broke every bone in my face except my mandible and lost some teeth four years ago. $93,000 US for facial reconstruction, and subsequent surgeries. I have 13 pieces of titainium in there, bone from my hip, permanent tunnel vision void of any periferal and I still ski:)
