Hey, I wana starting ripping the half pipe, I never really skied one before, what are some tips for starters?

Don't take too direct of a line because if you do you won't go as high because you'll have less speed.

What I mean is don't traverse across the hill as much. go more downhill. Ski the entire pipe but do fewer hits.

jesus i love ridin pipe i dont know to many pointers though dont hit the wall straight for sure. just practice it is so much fun when you can ride a pipe clean

go up the wall at a 45 degree angle downhill and don't be afraid to get air. Its really different.

i got a pointer from turpin at high north, he said basicaly for every foot you want to go up you want to move down the pipe 2 feet. sorta like an arch

yea, thats exactly right^^ for every 2 up 4 down, etc etc etc and also, when you drop in, jump in, not just absorb,
ALSO this is crucial, if you skate, you'll no what i mean... at the end of a transition, when youre coming into the middle pump the end of the wall, you might not understand, but watch skate vert, then you'll get what i mean...

actuallly i found when learning that going straight up was easier, then once i was comfortable i slowly put more and more angle into it

a tip that helped me a lot was don't look at your landing spot before you are out of the pipe. look straight ahead as you are riding up the wall

As you go up the tranny think of it like you're on a swong a little bit, and push your hips forward. It will help you maintain your speed and boost bigger.

Here's a little thing Smiley showed me. Start below the lip of pipe. Maybe a little above halfway depending on the pipe. If you can't get out of the pipe after one or two hits, you're not pumping the tranny right. BTW, Smiley is pretty soild in the pipe on Pocket Rockets.
