Buy a touring binding? In Indiana!?

So I come to gear talk for a little advice.
I can get my hands on a pair of new Naxo Nx22 for about $240. They are regularly about $350. Now I'm from Indiana and I won't be leaving for another 3.5 years (stupid cheap in state tuition) But I find myself thinking about this buy constantly.
Now I know that I'll get into touring immensely when I get to somewhere where I can actually tour. I love hiking, camping, climbing, and of course skiing. So yeah, I know it'll be a huge part of my life.
So worth it or no? I don't have a lot of extra cash to spend right now, but it just seems too hard to pass up.

are you saying buy them now and use them 3.5 years from now? because i wouldnt do that, lots of things change in 3.5 years. i know there is some skiing and hiking around india though, and definitely in Kashmir (but i think its pretty dangerous to go there). i mean $100 dollars off isnt the greatest discount i've seen.

yeah you can definitely hold out until you'll actually be able to use them. there will be other deals in the future and stuff will change

you can use them to stay in shape by cross country skiing, or as a mode of transportation to get you around if you have constant snow pack.
