Kaos or full tilt booter

hey guys ive been looking at boots for a while now and i have narrowed them down to the salomon kaos and the full tilt booter. ive heard great things about both, just something i would like to find out is

do either of them fit a more narrow or wider foot, warmth, comfort/ flex too much or too little. and then just some personal output would be great.

As always—searchbar.

But yeah, FT's run pretty narrow. I love my Kryptons. Super warm, comfy, still need to tweak them a little bit but yes, very nice boots.

i havent tried either, but heres what i suggest
Go to your local shops and try them on. what other people think is the last thing you should worry about, your the one in them. you really cannot buy boots without trying them on, their way to important to order without a little testing.

Only way to really tell man is to go into a shop and try both on.

and NEVER buy off the internet unless you've tried it on in a shop and are getting the EXACT same boot, size, ect.  I made this mistake many years back because it was cheaper, and now my shins have dents in them.

don't go to a shop and waste the shops time trying on boots so you can get them on the web.  odds are they will price match, the shop will have a warranty, and you're not being a douche by wasting the shops time while they sit there and fit you.  thats why a shop costs a hair more, they provide SERVICE on top of the product.

That's true too.

You really won't get a good fit unless you go to a good boot fitter.

i havnt tried the full tilt but i love my kaos's everything is perfect exept for the fact that they get a little cold in sub zero tepmeratures. but they are suuuuper light and great for the park. an all around awesome ski boot.

my personaly favorite is the full tilt, perfect, even flex, better liners, warmer liners, but you won't fit properly into both... try em on.

i have the kaos and they are for people with wider feet for sure. they are not warm at all but its worth it to me to have cold feet with the great flex that they have. my boyfriend has a pair of full tilts and LOVES them. he is always complaining that his feet are too hot while mine are numb. and the full tilts are meant for people with not such wide feet

FTs have a 7 layer EVA foam intution liner, here's some knowledge for you: FT Technology in VIDEO form

For groomers, sure. For charging....no...you can ski anything in any boot, but a park boot won't make skiing difficult terrain any easier...but you really should just buy whatever boots fit, if you go into a good shop, they will get you about six boots that will fit well, then you can pick and choose between the flexes and such...

i currently ride on some cheapo nordica bsx that i got from sportsauthority and watching the full tilt boot technology video really makes the full tilt boot seem as if god was to ski, he would ski with full tilt boots?

so full tilts are def recommended if my feet fit em.
how much did you pay for em?
what kinda full tilt boot should i get? i would say im a type 2.5 skier(in between type 2 and 3)
i know the tongues are swappable but where would i get the swappable tongues?
i was thinking i should get a full tilt boot with #5 flex or so? myabe 4 or maybe 6?

all i know is that i saw a pair of full tilts explode and a bunch of my friends complain of shin bang, and i will never trust any boots besides my salomons, i love my white and blue foils, and will be buying the black ones this year

I love Solly boots for me too.  I think it is so stupid when kids buy Full Tilts just because other people say they are cool, then complain about them hurting.  If they don't fit it doesn't matter how good they are!

all the reviews i've been reading make full tilts seem like they are great boots if your feet look like a pair of chopsticks...lol

well, like everone else said the kaos's are meant for wider feet but my friend has a pair and his feet are like regular width and he said he doesn't really feel a difference even though they're sorta wide. the full tilts are supposed to be AMAZING. but i would try them both on and see which one fits better and if they both fit the same i would go full tilts
