Worst ski injury you've ever had

whats the worst injury you have ever gotten from freestyle skiing? give a story behind the injury as well. for me yesterday i was having fun goofing off with switch 180s, so i decided to trty it off the biggest jump. i overshot the landing and now i have a badly sprained wrust

this wasn't in freestyle skiing, but it was like my second year, i hit a rock with the front of my ski went flying and somehow the ski jabbed into my elbow. it went through my coat and my fleece sweatshirt and i got a bad cut on my elbow and the scar is still there. another bad skiing injury i had was when i first started getting into freestyle skiing i hit a jump and landed badly and broke a small bone in my knee and was in a soft cast for about 2-3 weeks. ive had much worse injuries not skiing though

broke my leg from the top of my ski boot up to my knee, cracked my knee in 4 places, and broke up another 6 inches, all in 1 crash. full leg cast for 14 weeks, cruches for 18, full leg brace for 3 months after i got the cast off. my knee will dislocate under high weight now. so i cant squat or leg press anything over 275

Torn a muscle in my knee, then took some major ice to my face the other day which gave me a busted lip and black eye. Plus some knicks on my face. That's about it I think. Nothing serious thankfully.

broke my tailbone when i overshot a jump, couldnt sit for a week. few weeks later i went back out and caught an edge, landed right on my ass again, people thought i broke a bone cause of the noise i made. shit hurt so bad

i fractured my hip and tore a muscular attachment in that region. worst thing i've ever been out from.
couldn't ski for 7 weeks so it ended my season last year.

blew my knee up, no more ligaments, out of action for two seasons, constant pain, woke up one june morning and felt nothing, spent last week tearing up European powder in complete knee-comfort. go me !

broken pelvis- over shot a 3 and under rotated a 5
ac joint speeration/shoulder seperation- misty 7 hand tap over a barrel to catching an edge on the landing

a little more then 3 weeks ago, 11th day skiing this year my friend called last run because it was windy and cold as hell.  Just playing around did a spaffy 3 on a 30 footer landed hyper extended torn ACL MCL and Miniscus out for the season already.

i broke my arm a while back.

most recently i got a concussion. i remember getting off the gondola and entering the park. next think i know i am at home....4 hours later. i still cant remember what happened. im pretty sure i hit face first because i had a bruise above my eye and my goggles were cracked.

not skiing but last season in the ski resort partying like crazy i broke my ankle like really bad, this was on september 18th, i can walk now without crutches but still hurts a bit and i'm leaving to tahoe on january 20th to ski, so i have to rehab in one month haha...still i can ski like just cruising

rodeo 7, lost a ski in mid air- broken collar bone. wasnt a bad one though, i didnt actually know it was broken until about 3 weeks later.

last year i broke my left ring finger trying a 3 snowboarding at a "rail jam". it was at the end of qualifying and carved wayyyy too much. caught my edge, came up short, landed 270 backwards and landed on my hand.

nothing major though.

we've all been there haha, French gapers and the massive no-brain families, camping out on the landing sites of kickers, oh well. Hope your arm got back up and running quickly !

pulled left and right mcl's, not too serious at all but my knees have a lot of issues to begin with so it didn't help much.

most painful was the bruised hip-bone (patrols thought i'd broken it, luckily they were wrong) and mangled face combo. within five minutes my right eye was swollen shut and bleeding from a cut just above my eye, i bit halfway through my lip and my chin was scraped raw. I was definitely a sight when i showed up to class the next day.

funny thing was i'd lied to a prof telling him i was sick that day so i wouldn't get kicked out of the course (who ever heard of a university with an attendance policy?) and when he saw me the next day and asked what had happened to me i panicked and said "I...uh...fell down the stairs." pretty sure the only reason i got a B in that class was that he thought I was being abused.

when i was like four i broke my leg on a little wooden bridge thing, my dad thought i was faking and made me ski the rest of the way down the hill

when i was 8 my older brother told me to go of the drop off in the woods.... it was probably 8 foot or so and i cut my lip/gum really bad....

and today i accidentally pinched my calf real bad putting on my boot, it still hurts like hell!!!!

broken thumb under rotating a 5 a few years ago.

  I also got the wind knocked out of me really bad overshooting at bolton valley last year. Landed on my back.  that was fucking painful.

Yesterday i hit a jump and landed to flat and smashed my face on my knee and now i cant eat and shit i think mest all the nerves up in their, it looks like i just got my wisdom teeth pulled.

When I was young I over shot a jump really bad in a practice run for a comp and landed in the b-net. I ended up collapsing both the arches in my feet and getting a concussion.

Now my feet have major issues and get all swollen and blue all the time. It sucks.

ya im always fucking up my thumbs. ive dislocated, sprained and fractured both. other than that, i cracked a rib, and pulled muscles but no big deal.

seriously, even if I don't fall I still seem to mess up my thumbs, don't know why, I don't do anything weird, I just don't use my straps at all, maybe that has something to do with it.. anyway I bought new white and neon gloves yesterday, might do the job...
