I got some cheapie 'custom' insoles for $30 and I love em. I put back my old insoles and my boots felt like bowling shoes.

If your feet are soar after you ski I would say go for it. Dont get the cheapest ones though. I would spend around 50-60 for a good pair. also have your boots heated to your foot with your new insloes

Hell Yeah ! Get some, definately. I spent the whole season fine tuning my boots. I was still having heaps of probs until I just got insoles. My foot shape is fine, but they just hold it a more stable position. You kinda get more 'feel' coz any foot movement is transfered to te ski. Normal shoes feel realy flat afterwards!
Tell them about your jumping though so they give you a bit of room for foot expansion.

I spended the 80 for the insoles. They are definitely worth the cost. I'll get some for every pair of boots I buy from now on.

they definitly won't hurt your skiing.....i wore some custom ones back about ten years ago when i had pigeon toes (wore orthotics in my shoes as well) and they are just mad comfortable.....if your boots are already comfy then you probably don't need it, and they don't really provide a ton more shock absorbtion

i went for the super feet also, they helped out a lot. i think that they also pull your toes away from the end of the boot to prevent any sort of cramping there

SUPERFEET SUPERFEET SUPERFEET custom or even the trim to fit green ones if you are on a budget or your feet are still growing. the custom ones are totaly the shit. They make your boots more comfortable (its pretty complicated to explain how, lots of biomechanical shit), and actualy improve your skiing.
surefoot sucks surefoot=sorefoot
I don't work for superfeet, I don't get paided by superfeet, I just use them cause my feet hurt like shit if I don't.
Try it. It does make a difference if the person thats making them knows what they are doing.. they can fuck it up when making the custom ones. A good test to know if the person knows what they are doing is to ask them if they know what SUB-TAYLOR NEUTRAL POSITION is. If they look at you like you are speaking greek, get someone else to make them.
sub-taylor neutral means that the sub-taylor joint in the foot/ankle in in a neutral possition, not pronated or not supernated.
anyways enough of the techno mumbo jumbo, just go get SUPERFEET

Same for me. I got the trim-to-fit green Superfeet and they made a huge difference. Most nocibly I used to get really sore heels on big 180s and 540s, but none at all any more. The guy in the shop I got them in said that custom ones aren't really worth the money unless you really need them because you have weird feet. Still, if you've got the cash I'm sure they'd be better.

when i got my new boots this year i had the boots heated and since my one foot is a little bigger than the other i got a $30 pair of insoles. You would think that putting bigger insoles in there would make the boot tighter but it actually pulled my heel back and gave me a little more room. If your feet are hurting id say definetly go for it
