so I know there have been a billion questions about troublemakers, but before i order a pair for my dad how are they in moguls. I wont get a chance to test mine before i order his (need before christmas) so i need to know how they perform in moguls.i figure they would do pretty well since they dont have a drastic sidecut and im sure the spring blade tech would help. anyone ridden them in the bumps?

They just werent all that great in the bumps... Mainly cuz theyre too fat. Just a much larger fan of the Concept in the bumps. Hawks agrees too, and hes a pro bump skier...

well there not really and dimension differences between the concepts, mainly just flex patterns and stuff like that. hes not looking for a pro bump skis something to rip the bumps, a bit of pow and some crud and groomers. plus hes coming of head cyber 26x and he likes them in the bumps so i figured the tm would have to at least be better then them

because he doesnt really know what he wants and im gonna give him my 175tm's and take the 182's. basically he doesnt want a heavy ski, nothing too wide, just something lively and able to do some moguls and pow. im sure there are better skis for that but it is definatly gonna do the trick. plus if i ever break mine ill have a backup pair.

Maybe think about the Bandit (B1). I know you see them all over the mountain, but there's a reason for it. They work well all over the mountain. Their not too wide, they work fine in the bumps, work well in crud and on groomers, their pretty durrable. That kind of encompases what you said he likes to ski.
Just a thought.

oh the bandit is definatly a good ski. but im not sure how much better then the tm is would be . so i might as well be happy as well as getting my dad a good ski. people have to start looking beyond the twin tip. just because it has another tip doesnt mean t cant be skiied like a normal ski

from someone who actually owns and ski's the troublemakers I think they are a very versitile ski. obviously a bump specific ski will be better in the bumps, but the TMs are straight enought that they work well. they are considerably wider throughought than the concepts, but are also shorter. basically what I'm trying to say is that it is a great all around ski.

I've ridden them a very small amount in the bumps, probably not more than five turns each a few runs. They felt fine compared to my concepts. They are obviously not the best choice for your dad but they'll work. They are pretty good all mpuntain skis.

I wouldn't give your dad TM's...there not that good in bumps, although I really haven't ridden much bumps, but I thought they were such a bad all mountain ski. You might as well sell your TMs and just buy 182s and buy some nice freeride skis for your dad. My 182s aren't even mounted center at all, and I didn't like them for all mountain.
