great movie, very good acting and it was very entertaining, however, I found it very depressing, as well obvious references made to other parts of the movie that had no purpose or reason. I would not recommend seeing this movie, it is a good movie in some parts, and is much more of a chick flick type movie, but ultimately it is a very depressing movie.

it was for sure good, but i did not enjoy the whole depressing ending bit, and they put way too much into the clock that did not really have any purpose in the movie, except that it was backwards.

i agree theybuilt up the clock way too much and it was sort of a depressing movie but if you wanna talk about depressing watch seven pounds

ya, like at the end, you see the clock about to get owned by the water, and the only thing that came to my mind was "yeah, and this has any relevance to anything else whatsoever because?"

Isn't it because time is going backwards for the button guy, and the clock is backwards? and the water has to do with whatever happens to him...

I haven't seen the movie so this is just an observational guess.

well thats sort of what they intended for with the clock, but they made no actual correlation to the fact that the clock was going backwards and him aging backwards. They could have easily, and if you REALLY try hard to make the two things relate, then they can, the only relation I found was that the clockmaker's son died in ww1, and he made it because he wanted it to bring hope that the soldiers who had died would come back, as well as benjamin being born at the end of the war. and then at the end, the clock was in a warehouse in storage, and it got owned by water. and if you want me to defend the uselessness of the clock more pm me, I dont want to ruin it for people who want to see the movie.

hmm i thought it would be really good
i might still see it though as some people seemed to think it was quite good
if its a chick flick as you say i might bring gf then, is it really that depressing though??

it was good but not even close to one of the best movies i have ever seen (yes even this year) and i would not waste my money to see it again.

i liked it, but yeah, the clock stuff was fucking retarded. i mean, was it the clock's fault that benjamin was born? and how did the clock being flooded signify anything? i mean, even if it had been directly related to benjamin, how did it being flooded many years after he died have anything to do with him?
aside from that random clock shit, i was overall quite pleased.

i thought it was pretty good, it kinda has a forest gump feel with the life story, though not quite as good as tom hank's masterpiece. it was long, but i like long movies. also i feel youre just not very familiar with the drama type movie, many of which are depressing at times...if you really want to see a depressing movie, see 7 pounds.

i thought it was really good. Didnt get that much of that depressing vibe, its a drama, not a comedy, so its obvious that its not all happy shit. As for the clock... are you guys serious? Just because theres no clear link with benjamin, doesnt mean it doesnt mean anything, thats called symbolism, and it was pretty easy to  make the link. All in all, good movie, it was written by the guy who wrote forrest gump and it is very forrest gump-ish
