Replying to Questions about high DIN bindings
I made my bindings explode today (Salomon 912TI, new it would happen eventually) so I am shopping around for bindings. I am looking for something durable as hell, like an FKS 120 or 155 or a pair of Deadbolt 15's. Maybe some STH's but I don't know how they could compare to the FKS. Anyway, disregarding release systems, do higher DIN bindings hold up any better than their low DIN counterparts in your experience? (Ex: Griffon vs. Jester, STH 14 vs. 16, etc.)
I also wonder what most people use as thier limit for maxing out a binding. I ride my park skis at 10 on a 12 binding, I wouldn't want to go higher on that binding.
I will likely grab a pair of the new Deadbolts for cheap, they have a heel track very similar to the STH's and that is always what seems to fail for me.
