so i was in a little ski shop in downtown truckee today, and i come across a pair of skis, 179 seth pistols. they look like they have been used about a season, no edge damage, just in need of a little ptex, but nothing major, mounted once for $125. immediately i decide im going to buy them because im looking for a touring ski and i figure this would be perfect to put naxos on.
i dont know what really happened next, its blurred by frustration, but a shop worker came and took the skis off the wall while i was inspecting them, this was our conversation
worker "sorry these skis just sold"
me "to who, im going to buy them right now"
w. " well the owner of the skis just called and said he has sold them" (you can sell skis at the shop and pay for them with a credit card and they will pay back the owner)
me " well i have them in my hand, they have a price tag on them from your store, so im pretty sure im going to buy them"
w. "sorry man theres nothing i can do, they arnt our skis"
this convo went on for a little bit and i kept trying to convince him that i should be able to buy the skis because i had them in my hand and was about to purchase them, but he would have none of it. i realize theres nothing the shop could do and dont hold it against them, but i just wanted to vent my frustration,
