if the eagles make the playoffs and the pats don't i'm gonna shoot myself. they needed the bucs to lose and then either chicago or vikings to lose. Pats only needed fins or ravens to lose. So ridiculous if we go 11-5 and miss the playoffs

Are they really franchising him or is that just speculation? It seems uncharacteristic of the patriots to pay that kind of money for him, and it seems like a pretty steep price for another team to pay too. I don't know maybe Im wrong.

why the fuck would the pats franchise cassel? he is good, dont get me wrong, but they have aruguably the best quarterback in the nfl in front of him. also the pats are stingy when it comes to paying players. they wouldnt resign samuel last year when he was a top 3 corner in the nfl last year not to mention the whole deal with deon branch a few years back. it makes absolutely no sense for new england to franchise cassel from an economic standpoint, and he could get much more money as a starter elsewhere. i doubt he will be back in NE next season
