A net force of 100N is applied horizontally to an object whose weight is 500N. What is the acceleration of the mass? Assume there is no friction.

since the mass of the object is roughly 51 kg (500/9.8), use the formula Fnet = mass x acceleration. hence, acceleration is 19.6 m/s/s.

100 = (500/9.8)*A
100 = 51*A
1.96 = A

I use metric, but since I had to use the ridiculous imperial system for so long I'm still fluent in it. One day we will make the switch, hopefully. Yeah I do all my engineering and physics in metric, so learn it.

that's nothing as well, the complicated stuff deals with theoretical physics, some of the relativity formulas, and don't even get me started on quantum mechanics

quantum mechanics has no real formulas dumbass(lol). The ones that came closest to ALMOST being constant were created by max planck, and even einstein said they didnt make any sense. Quantum mechanics is all about what ifs, not what is.

Im in Ap Physics this year and i have the same teacher i had last year for regular physics and he's a horrible teacher.. I've pretty much taught myself both levels.. It's hard stuff teaching yourself but, it's better than failing.. It's always the hard subjects that the teachers decide they want to do a sucky job teaching.
