I was wondering the same thing. But eventually I assumed it was the same thing as retro, but still no need to have 2 names for 1 item..

Youre all wrong.
BLOC refers to Oakley's premier accounts. Only certain dealers are allowed to purchase BLOC items. Frogskins were one last year, these crowbars are this year.

today there were some "BLOC" crowbars on tramdock, but they didn't have the old school strap just the normal O strap... not sure if that helps.

I'm pretty sure they do have retro straps, seeing as how all this years
BLOC account crowbars have retro straps and the picture is the same as
last years brown retro crowbars. Guess we'll find out for sure when
they come.
Also, I don't know why they changed this, but I believe BLOC is the
same as what the stretch line used to be. Only select oakley dealers
were also stretch dealers and could sell products from the oakley
stretch line. As said above the same seems to be true for BLOC
products and BLOC dealers.

Oakley only allows their select dealers to buy the super limited and sweet stuff in order to keep it exactly that, limited. They dont want to over-supply and ruin the exclusivity of their high end products.

Right, I was just saying this is the exact same thing they did with their "stretch" line of products a few years ago. I just don't get why they felt the need to change it from "stretch" to "bloc" assuming they are the same things. Both lines used the retro logo's on the products and we're only distributed through exclusive dealers.

Stretches were still a bloc item, but i guess they ran out of names and didnt want to repeat the retro or stretch name, so they just called them what they really are: BLOC Crowbars. Doesnt sound too bad either.

To achieve bloc status, preseason orders have to surpass a certain monetary value for a efw years or something, i forget the qualifications. Its funny because my brother bought a pair of white retros last season at ski barn.
All times are Eastern (-5)
