Dakine Chute vs. Pro II

i've been looking at those bags for a while, couldnt choose... i was also looking at the Tactic.

the thing is, i wanted it for school too, so the chute would be good, but it seems to be to big for skiing, the pro ll is a little small for school but better for skiing, the tactic is only a little bit smaller, and they have it for a great price in the backcountry.com outlet http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/outlet/DAK0580/DAKINE-Tactic-Pack-1500cu-in.html

As far as the others go havn't used a Chute but I've used a Pro II for a couple of years. It's pretty much a perfect day pack for my needs. Highly recommended.

i know this is a few days old, but i reccomend a Pro ll, i love mine, it can carry lots of stuff, and it stays in place nice

I've got a Tactic and I love it! Its perfect for space and the ski carry system is sweet. The downside to the Pro II is that it has the fabric ski carry strap instead of the retractable metal system.

The Chute is also nice. Just a bit bigger. You'd have to have a lot of gear, cameras, cliff bars to fill that thing up.

The Chute is around 2200 cubes I think.
The Tactic is around 1600 and its perfect for a extra base layer, down stuff jacket, shovel, emerg kit, probe, water, extra gloves/goggles, camera and a few small tools with a bit of room to spare. I think the Pro 2 is around the same size as the Tactic.
