Full Tilt

I'm looking at a few full tilts but have to go according to price rather than functionality.. my options are either the 09 booters or the 08 bb. Basically i'm wondering if the booters are too flexible and soft for backcountry or if they do well in that terrain as well? any suggestions?

I have the high fives, which have the #6 tongue and they flex perfect for me at 160 lbs

i would avoid the booter its the softest boot they make and will be all over the place on big mountain riding... get the bumbelbee

The main difference between the full tilt boots is the liner.

Alas, you could buy the booter and get a stiffer tongue and almost have a BB.

They all use the same shell etc.

the booter i beleive has the thinnest liner, and i really dont think thats what you want. like the other guy said you could swap all the parts to get to where you want, but it would be easier to get what you want right out of the box

yeah my booters are way soft, I'm buying a #6 flex tongue hopefully soon

Go with the 08s. You could also look at the Camo or the Konflicts from 08 as well. The Camo has a little softer tongue (like a 6 flex and the konflicts have a 9 if my memory serves me correctly) Have you tried on FTs yet?

na haven't yet but plan to soon, all i know is that the shape is better for my foot. i think i'll prolly go with the 08s bbs or konflicts though. any suggestions on where i can find a larger variety of 08s?

Since there is no where even close to me that has FT's and the fact that my feet are very narrow, I took a chance and ordered mine from www.summitonline.com. I got the Konflicts. You could also try thedailysteal.com or skis.com, however these may all come from the same place as they all seem to have the same sizes left of each boot.

the 08 bb pro and konflict ar nearly the same thing the bb pro just has a double injected tounge. i have the bb pro and they are great

if i can't find any local shops that sell fulltilts(nearest one according to the fulltilt site is about 30-40 min away)
I'm thinking of ordering either a 2008 fulltilt camo or 2008 fulltilt model A
which would be better for me?
I do all mountain and park and powder only if it happens on the same day i ski. i don't do much BC or anything crazy. Just mostly all mountain and the terrain park.
the camo comes with a dual density #6 flex but the model A comes with a single density #2 flex. how soft and hard is the #2 flex and #6 flex respectively?

oh, and if i am to take my chances and order without trying them on...i currently ride on nordica bsx size 25.5 but those packed out WAY too much for me and are loose. would size 25 08 fulltilt camos be much of a diff? (i know i shouldn't really be asking this question, but the more info the better)

ok i went to the a fulltilt seller today. i tried em on. what im mainly concerned is about the size. im going to order a size 25 fulltilt camo 2008 which has a #6 dual density flex tongue and a camo intuition liner with power wrap. how much will these pack out? and should i just heatmold em myself or have the shop do it?
it costs $40 for a basic heatmold then $40+ $1 per minute for a heatmold with analysis(even more modification)

Wow. your shop is fucked up.

They really shouldn't charge you SHIT for heat-molding, it should be a free service.  Go buy from a shop that will do it right, for free.

hahaha they charge you 40 bucks for them to heat the boots up ahhaa so lame. my shop does it for free like it should be

well they are the only full tilt dealer. and they do know their shit unlike alot of shops i've been to.
well they charge you if you don't buy from them and just bring in  your own boots that you need to heat mold. haha
local ski shop prices FTL in my area!
trying to buy from online dealers...save some money lol.
anyways, do you guys recommend that i heatmold myself or at a ski shop?
this ski shop i just talked about, is the only place that i remember them talking about the molding process and the correct way to do it. other shops tell me they will do it for free, but all they do is heat my boot up and tell me to walk around for some time. but this ski shop heats up the boots and sticks stuff in my socks(toe pieces or something).
im not too knowledgeable about the process, but i do know that they are the best ski shop in terms of knowing whats going on+ they're nice. nice but $$$

Moulding an intuition liner is extremely different to 'moulding' a stock boot liner.

Intuition liners should be moulded by a good bootfitter, unless you know exactly what you are doing.

I'm surprised that they are wanting to charge you for the moulding if you buy the boot from them though. I could understand it if you bought the boots elsewhere, but not if yo buy them there..

no no, its free lifetime molding, making it fit and all that jazz, for free if you buy the boot from them. but it costs $40 is you want them to do the molding for you wiht toe pieces and such then $1 per minute for an anaylsis for more indepth detail of how to mold, etc.

im found some cheap full tilts online so might buy from online then pay the $40, should i do that?
