I skied Salomon s900ti bindings for 2 seasons and am now on Rossi Axial Carbon 110's. I find the rossis much better because they have a lighter toe piece (and maybe heel piece, It is very close to the salomons' weight), shorter mounting pattern (for better ski flex), rotating heel for more release angles, and much more elastic travel before release.
PocketRocket, stop trying to defend salomon. you aren't being very objective because you don't seem to have skied the rossis.
I pre-released from my salomons all the time and at the same setting, they often did not release causing me serious leg injury. I weigh 160lbs and skied them on a din of 10.5.
I now ski rossis on a din of 8.5 and have had no unwanted releases and they release no matter how odd a fall I have.
The s912ti widebrake is no better than the s912ti and is actually heavier because of the wider brake (minimally).
