i agree, both dew tour wins in my opinion were both huck over style

you cant argue taht tanners penciled out 12 and siwtch 10 looked good, obviously he had to do it to win but it looked like shit

and people saying simons not in the game anymore he basically had the same run as tanner, but a right 9 with a cleaner grab, and if the wind hadnt blown 1000mph he probably would hav thrwon an allyoop 7 instaead of a zero, and he probably would have won

as has been many times in many threads.. you are a 'newschooler' by which i mean both an NSer and a freeskier. as a newschooler you understand the difference between technicality and 'spin to win'. But newschoolers are a small demographic. the dew tour, just like the x games, doesn't care what you think. Tanner did the run he had to do to win. it was the most instantly impressive to the average punter. I didn't like it either but it had to win. Personally I liked lots of the other runs better. I am still trying to decide if I would have picked Dorey or Adams to win,

It just was'nt Dumont's night. For both his runs the nasty gusts  came in and whipped blinding clouds up and down the pipe. If it wasnt for the comp and the TV schedule, No one would be riding that pipe for fun in that kind of weather. After Dumont's first run, a lot of the freezind spectatotrs  felt sorry for him because the gusts of wind threw him off. Then for his second run the wind was worse. I dont know what the TV announcers were saying, But that was what it was like on the course.

As for Tanner's run, under those conditions, he made it look a lot easier than it really was.

I thought Dorey had the best style

I'm gonna have to say that Tanners run was the most technical, you try landing a 12, a right 9 and a switch 10 in the same run and let me know how that goes.  I think the judging was spot on at the Dew Tour, and I do think style is important but Tanner straight up destroyed

Are you serious? First of all it's not that hard to figure out these forums, and not everyone posts 40 times each time their on ns. Ive been contributing to the forums for about a year and only have like 300 posts because even though I'm in here a lot, I only post when my input is actually neccesary

Tanner's run wasn't perfect, but the conditions were absolute bullshit. Dorey's run was arguably more impressive, but any contest results will always be debatable. Unless you have the judging guidelines and weightings, you can't talk on which run was "better".

I feel that this thread is only a warm up for X-games bitching. It's gonna be a riot this year with all the new up-and-comers in pipe.
