my aunt not knowing what to get me bought me this High octane dakine wax... so whatever its straight. So Ive never really used rub ons.. I usually hot wax every day after i ski so it keeps my bases lean and mean. So i just threw down a coat of this rub on stuff and dont really know if i have to scrape it off or anything ? do i just let it chill there ?
you can buff them but u seriously dont need to
trust me
ive used this stuff before and all u need to do is rub it on
they dont call it quick wax for nothing
It's certainly not on par with a good hot wax, but pretty good for a quick wax job. It's definitely not good for more than a day though. I have the same stuff; works best if you cork it after rubbing it on. Either way, a good cheap way to get a little extra speed.
^For sure buffing isn't necessary, but its like the icing on the cake. Its crazy when you do a full on wax/buff the next day on the snow can be kinda sketch cuz they're so slick.
fuck i buffed it down really nice... rubbing it hard in long strokes into my bluehouse bases... Have they now became shaved jackrabbits with jet turbines being driven by a over caffenated aircraft pilot going of a ski jump in more than idol conditions ?
Yea definitely not as good as iron-on wax, but it works. I definitely buff it alot though, it really gets it into the base more and helps it last more than just a couple runs. Good shit though, quick, easy
yup i use a rub on wax because I AT so its nice to be able to put it on after the skins are taken off. it works well but it isnt dakine. its something meant for skins
its like makeup it only covers the problem and comes off to easily. Hot wax on the other hand is like plastic surgery, it actually fills the pores of your skis and makes them better. Now if you want botox, than get yourself a p-tex stick, and full in your ugly wrinkles.
