How long do you ski?

so the other day i noticed alot of people at my hill that i thought were intament skiers only stay at the hill for about 4-5 hours where i find my self at the hill 7-10 hours everytime i ski..so how long is your average day?

wow, 7-10 hours is ridiculous. most of the time i usually ski around 5-7 hours. if it sucks then i stay for around 3-4 hours

8:30 or 9:00am. to close which is 4 pm. But it depends on conditions and crowds

when touring in the BC, i can be out for 4 to 8 hours or longer. it really depends on the snow conditions and the weather. If the weather turns bad or the snow gets unstable, it could be as short as 1 hour.

normally 9-4 but last week i went from 9am to 9pm i have never been so sore night skiing is the best (with good weather)

Usually 9am-10pm saterdays, but i take a long lunch break.

On sundays 10am-6pm. Then try to get up after school 430pm to 9pm

i love skiing and i wish i could go skiing everyday for as long as possible. I dont really do anything else skiing is my only sport

we dont open till 1030 but we have nightskiing till 930 usually

but i get up around 1030/11 then ski till dinner then go out again if i want to

Until my feet get so cold I can't moved them properly... so like two hours. Then back inside for an hour or so to warm up, then back out for two hours. I know. Newb.

went skiing from 10am to 9pm. Only reason i left is cuz my friends wanted to. But at my local hill i'll ski for maybe and hour or two cuz its so tiny and repetative

on weekends i start at 8 or 10 and finish at 4. and on weeknights i go from about 5 until 10. but if im skiing alone and my mp3 dies im done

Normally from lift opening until lift close (or a bit less - most of the day).  Currently only around 11am or 1pm until just before close.

this year I seam to be doing a 4 hour shift up on the hill. 10am - 2pm. The lifts only run for 6 hours a day here... and on pow days you'll see me up there for 5 - 6 hours. Sometimes I only get up for an hour or so, but I live 3km away from the hill and don't work in the winter... so only getting in one hour of skiing in doesn't really seam like a missed day of skiing, you know?


I remember being in high school though. I'd ski from noon till 10pm everyday. by around 8pm I'd start to burn out but my ride wouldn't come to get me till 10. there were a few 9am - 10pm's as a kid as well. 13 hours a day of skiing. Yea, I was core!

I might ski 7 hours straight with maybe a trip to the car and nothing to eat or drink but if I am at my hill with a house on it I will ski for 1-4 hours and then go in for at least 20 minutes.

When i work , it 830-4 . i teach at my local hill

then when im with my school like 430-9

but when i ehad up with friends its lik 9-6.

and i usally get 25days a year

unless im with tons of friends, i usually only ski for about an hour or two because i either always hurt myself, or i just get too pissed off at my shitty hill and all the gapers to stay any longer.....1000th Post!
