The Definition of Gaper

I think we all know what a gaper is.  But what I think is wrong with some of the definitions I found is the part where it says they wear brightly colored clothing, I mean I don't really have bright clothes, but I know some pretty steezificating new schoolers, who wear brightly colored clothes.  The rest is totally true about them though.  And just out of curiosity, who says it like gape, and who says it like gap, jw yo.

And a side note, the LINE Remote backack, any good? i'm thinking of purchasing myself one.

  Absolutely.  That's like comparing an OG to a neverg. 

  Honestly, if you don't ever ski the east, just know how far removed we are from the all encompassing "ski culture" that a lot of you Westerners take for granted.  Words like "parabolic" still get thrown around out here with stunning regularity.  The amazing part is, that the same guy who throws that term around, may be spotted obliterating a bump run, culminating in a ridiculous twister spread.

  I've decided that I'm ok with out and out gaperdom.  Everyone starts out a miserable skier.  As long as a degree of self awareness around skill level exists, and they're relatively careful and considerate...godspeed to 'em.  What irks me, is the undercover gaper culture.  You know, people whose skill level is dwarved by their fashion sensibilities.

haha just giving you a hard time.
Today in jackson there were more gapers than you could shake a stick at. we got like 28 inches by noon, and nothing was open, so when they finally opened like 1 run off the gondola, it was gaper central. gapers treeskiing may be the funniest thing i have ever witnessed though...

Gaper: gay-per, noun. one might define the gaper as a person who skis through the park and doesnt know what the fuck they are doing. they can be spotted on the in runs of jumps, landings of jumps and 50-50ing the 4ft wide box. gapers can be identified by their rental skis or blades and jeans and tight walmart jacket or sweater, old school goggles and nipple high poles. gapers are a pest to the common skiing park rat much like the common squatting snowboarder. gapers are easily scared and easily mimicked (see Gaper Day). Gapers can be scared off with loud noises or as seen in the classic cab seven small girl tap, a smooth cab seven to a light tap on the noggin.

pronounced gayper to me, and any clothing that either was designed to be skied in before '95 or wasn't designed to be skied in at all is fine. Poorly fitting and unzipped where possible. tight pants awkward stance!
