Powerbook G4 problem.. little help_

I've only had my new Powerbook G4 a few days now. I also purchase an ipod. After installing the software for the ipod. It looked like my hard drive disappeared and then I had to shut off the computer manually. The next time i turned on the computer only the timer (rainbow circle) is on the screen with the blue screen in the backround.


my apple service is closed since its the weekend, but can anyone help me in the mean time.

I NEED HELP!

i have heard that they have been having lots of problems like this with the new powerbooks. apple should fix it for you for free

im going to refrain from any apple jokes here....


try using the restore disks and reinstall the OS

yeah, let's all listen to the ignorant windoze lepper.

there is no ipod software to install (as far as i know) but itunes and that comes preinstalled.

boot w/o your ipod plugged in and let the thing run for a while. there might've been a firmware goof on the install. it should boot w/o a problem. it was just doing some optimzation/recovery/journaling stuff. what version of os x do you have installed?

OK problem fixed. The Apple Support in the US helped me out. What happened was I downloaded Kazaa.. woops and that dosnt work and it wouldnt install the whole thing and thats what screwed it up.

But Apple Support is awsome and they took me through a step by step process and here I am today on my awsome POWERBOOK G4 typing to you.
