Durability of the PE's and TM's

I'm debating on whether to get the 169 PE or the 175 TM and was wondering which stick is more durable, like durabitlity, edges holding up, delam issues etc. I know questions like this have been asked many many times but thanks for the help.

I don't think many people really know, not too many answers here. I think some people have snapped their pe's or had the bindings rip out(supposedly fixed this year?). don't think Iv'e heard of either delaming. Dynarider ore somebody like that broke the edge on his tm's. thats the only thing I've heard about them. looking at the designs the pe edges should be more durable because they are thicker and wrap around. Theres not manyy people that have ridden either of these skis for long enough to have anything major happen to them or judge their durability. I don't have any first hand experience, just putting together some things I've heard. They're both good skis.

i would personally say tm's, but you can't go wrong with either ski

According to soxripper the TM's aren't very durable, and if you really care about the topsheet, mine are already gettin messed up after a week. My friend had Pe's that snapped in half but they were mounted more than once.

Personally, I think it's just a fact of life. Pros wouldn't ride skis that fall apart easily, even if they do get them free. Shyte happens and sometimes skis break - more often than not, it's from a bad landing than anything else.

soxripper, first of all colliding with other kids and comin up short on the rail is gonna do a number on any ski u most likey just got a bad pair or just had some of the worst luck ever

how bout delamming tails? and i didn't hit the rail hard at all....how would i be able to ride the rail if i hit it hard enough to bust an edge hardcore. found out the other day that one of the skis is bent also. super sick durable skis.

I don't really want to defend one ski but would any ski edge be able stand up to being dinged on the straight edge or maybe corner of a rail while you are getting on it? The same thing happend to my concepts so it could be a dynastar thing but I'd like to know if anything could take that. Your other problems are bad though and reason to suspect the durability, have you talked warranty at all? And the edge thing, my concepts have been perfectly fine for a while with a cracked and pushed in edge.

dynastar on the phone said they won't take them back because of the blown edge...they have reason to suspect i did the rest of the damage just to get them warrantied. that is not true. i epoxied the delamed tail because i didn't want to go through the hassle of warrantying my ski first week of the season. still going to bring them up to the warehouse this week and bitch though. at the least i want one ski to replace the severely damaged one. i'd be happy with that.

^ i havent taken my tms on rails yet, but i am not gonna, just for the sake of the ski. but i think that dynastars edges were always the easiest to coem out on rails, look at the concepts
