Friend just bought G3 skin for his pistols but...
The tip and tail connections do not fit. Question
What can he do or where can he buy connections that will fit. Thanks.

Two easy fixes:
One, notch out the tips and tails a little bit so the clips dont slide off. easly done with a saw blade and a little time and pacitence.
Or two, go down to the hardware store and find a bunch of little screw in clips that will hold them on. Just go down to the hardware store and keep an open head, theres so many widgets in those places that something is bound to work.

Whatever you do you , DO NOT CUT OR NOTCH YOUR SKIS, g3 is geniue guide garbage, pure sh*t. I just bought some 2004 110 mm Black Diamond Accensions for my Pistols and they fit perfect.

Fortskier I respect your opinion but I would rather give my money to a good Canadian Company any day. We have been f-ed over on lumber and beef the last few years. If Calgary had no oil where would it be.
As for the friend is notching the skis really the only thing he can do.

you two are both wrong, Blackdiamond bought G3, thats why they are making their tele bindings and now they are producing all their other stuff

G3 is a brand of outdoor gear. A skin is used to climb up a mountain with your skis ie touring or it looks a bit like cross country. You access a peak and ski a fresh line

But if it get steep and rocky click in the crampons and ropes and have one hell of a ski down.

the age of the park rat is upon us
If you have a 1380 SAT and a 86.71 GPA... what does everyone say? Not good job, not 'O wow, thats awesome!' No, they say things like 'You are an underachiever'

Look here to get a better idea of what Im talking about.

This link leads you binding adapter that turns normal bindings into something like a crosscountry binding. OR

This link leads you to touring bindings a lighter feel but not as strong for everyday crazy banging ie park everyday.
Climbing skins

Used to help grip when hiking up the hile with skis on. instead of boot packing and sinking up to your nipples you can cruz on the top. Most times
Please would really like answers to the original question.

so you've gotta side step up the hill? and for the comment about park rats - think more along the lines of east coast rats, or midwest rats, or anywhere that doesn't have huge fucking mountains and backcountry. Even skiing mt. snow and killy mostly, I don't know where I'd use those.

no its just that on the east coast we have no need for skins unless your a hippie telegaper.

You don't side step, think of classic cross country skiing, and you'll have an idea of what he's talking about. Basically, you ski for free, can use your alpine skis as 'transportation', and the ride down is just as good as normal skiing, because you're on regular gear(or have touring bindings, if you're not using trekkers)

Thanks jib this would relly like some help.
I bought Lbfs cause they were designed somewhat for skins ie regular tip and an indent in the tail. But the friend lives in northern Japan and he needs help. He ordered 150 skins and they dont fit. And yes I know the G3 fit pistols with the regular loops or hooks.
Riding pow for free rocks, gear up and be smart.

^can't help you on that one, I'm no skins expert, I'm just smart enough to know the basics behind it all.

For the tail ,modify the hook and drill a hole in the tail and hook it up........for the tip....I think those skins have a wire-type loop ?...just make a new one( w/some good wire& pliers) that's big enough. If done properly, it'll work just as good or better.
